Breaking news!

The City of Merced Parks and Recreation Department will open Golden Valley High Pool (2121 E. Childs) for rec swim from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturdays until Aug. 8. Cost is $1 for kids, $2 for 18 and up. It starts tomorrow! Thanks to the Merced Union High School District for their help and cooperation.

McNamara pool (1040 Canal) is open Thursdays through Sunday 3 to 6 p.m. for rec swimming. We will continue to have adult swimming at McNamara Pool (1040 Canal) from 6-7:30 Thursdays and at Merced High (205 W. Olive) 7-8 p.m. No charge for the adult swimming while we get that program started as part of our H.E.A.L City program (Healthy Eating Active Lifestyle).
