$25 sewer, water rebates in June

Every sewer and water customer in Merced saved money this month because the City Council approved a temporary rebate.

The $25 water rebate and $25 sewer rebate was applied to the June utility bill of all residential, small business, commercial and industrial customers.

Customers don’t have to do anything to be eligible for the rebate, it is automatically included with their June utility bill.

The utility bill rebate was part of the City Council’s COVID-19 Recovery Plan approved in May that also included programs to assist small businesses, renters, the Food Bank and the hotel industry. A program to give gift cards to residents to help jump start local businesses is still being developed.
