City of Merced offices will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025, in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. This includes the Merced Civic Center and other City department offices. 

The regular Merced City Council meeting will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2025. A Study Session will begin at 5 PM, and the regular meeting starts at 6 PM in Council Chambers at the Civic Center, 678 W. 18th Street, in Merced.

City crews will have no refuse, yard waste, or curbside recycling collections on Monday, January 20, 2025. Collections throughout the City will be delayed one day from the regular schedule.

Public Safety staff will continue to perform regular operations. City Fire and Police Department offices will be closed to the public. Call 911 for emergencies and (209) 385-6906 for non-emergency police services.
