Fire Codes & Regulations

The City of Merced adopted the California Fire Code (CFC), 2022 Edition, as the City's Fire Code, with certain amendments. The regulations contained within the 2022 CFC took effect 180 days after publication on January 1, 2023. Local Amendments to the 2022 edition of the California Fire Code are published in the Merced Municipal Code and adopted through Ordinance No. 2544.
